After the revolution, feudalism no longer existed and social transformation from (nobility to citizen) was observed in some regions. All had more access to better courts and could possibly paid of debts and benefited from reduction in taxes. After the implementation ‘Code Napoleon’ the country had consolidated its contracts and managed to attain some social order. The ones who managed to live through the deaths of the Revolution were privileged enough to experience equal distribution of power. The King’s crown that was a symbol of Catholic Christianity was replaced with a red liberty cap that represented the state as authority. the National assembly of the new parliament seized all the Church lands to further suppress religion and enrich itself. Furthermore, an end was put to all kinds of religious orders and monastic vows. All those priests who refused to take oath under the new government were arrested and banned from operating underground chapels. The clergy no longer had authority over financial issues; their roles were also limited and they were also given obligations to the State. The people had fixed wages and the essentials were also in the market with fixed prices which guaranteed profit despite outside influences. The middlemen known as the bourgeois and the land-owning class were now in the most dominant social class in France. The revolutionaries managed to overthrow the monarchy in total as an addition to the suppression of the church. The Revolution united France and with the unity of the French came the enhanced power of the state and the authority to influence world affairs. It played the role of establishing the precedents of democratic institutions (elections, representative government and constitutions).
